Glenda Mac Naughton (2004)

Glenda's prizewinning* necklace combines elements of three very disparate cultures. Its regular patterns and colours evoke the symmetry of Scottish tartans; the geometric motifs echo the dominant forms of the Art Deco period; and the long, strap-like form recalls the beaded 'bandoliers' of the (highland?) people of East Borneo.
